Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot, a black lesbian, calls for her appointed local Aldermen to “pledge allegiance to the new world order and good governance.”
Mayor Lightfoot was “elected” in 2019 after serving as Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois (1996-2002), chief administrator of the Chicago Police Department Office of Professional Standards (a defunct governmental police oversight group), head of the Chicago Police Board and Accountability Office (from 2015-2018, made recommendation on police “disciplinary action” in cases of “police misconduct”).
In May 2020 a video surfaced of Lightfoot’s 2019 inauguration interview with the Chicago Tribune. In the interview, Lightfoot addresses aldermanic prerogative, or aldermanic privilege, which allows a single alderman (of 50in Chicago) to veto or hold up a project in their home ward. Towards the video’s end, Lightfoot says she will sign an executive mayoral order to get rid of the city’s practice.
Lightfoot tells the Tribune after she signs the executive order, she will appoint new officials across key departments in the city, like zoning and housing, who are on board with her policies. “You pick the people to run those agencies and the deputies that are pledging allegiance to the new world order and good governance,” Lightfoot says.
Once the video circulated on social media, the Fake News Media scrambled to delegitimize and censor it as “right wing conspiracy mongering.” The Chicago Tribune, Associated Press, and Facebook corroborated in censoring the video, claiming the one minute diatribe of Lightfoot demanding her political appointees pledge allegiance to a Marxist New World Order was “taken out of context.” This is patently untrue. Facebook falsely asserted the video is “edited” even though it is not.
Lightfoot is a Marxist sympathizer who like her mayoral and state predecessors ensures Cultural Marxism retains a stranglehold over the Chicago metro. One of Lightfoot’s first acts was to create an Inclusionary Housing Task Force – it’s goal is to force housing and real estate developers to include a maximum number of low-rent projects.
Lightfoot quickly established herself as a Soviet-style Commissar by immediately firing Chicago Police Chief Eddie T. Johnson, as her city saw 18 murders on 31 May, 2020 – the highest total in 60 years in one day under her administration. She also lowered fines and penalties for drug possession, and appointed a first ever, “Chief Equity Officer” to address “racial inequalities” in Chicago.
Conveniently for Lightfoot’s Marxist rule, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office “terminated” its Regional Gang Intelligence Database seven years after taking it over from a drug task force in Lake County, Indiana. Lightfoot’s disdain for police, and the Commons’ law and order is documented. She refused to allow President Trump to send in Federal agents to stop rioting. One the same day of her Twitter post, 15 were shot in gang violence at a funeral.
As her city descends in Somalia-tier violence, a path other Leftist-governed cities always take, Lightfoot attacks the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) which endorsed President Trump in 2020. Chicago Police Union claim officers have returned to a defensive retreat not seen since 2015 because of Lightfoot’s disdain for law and order, a claim she denies. Fraternal Order of Police President John Catanzara says police have rock-bottom morale and distrust of Lightfoot.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot looked at her city’s skyrocketing shootings (52% increase in murder from 2019), riots that resulted in wanton destruction to the Commons, and Black lives not mattering to Marxist Leftists who claim otherwise. Commissar Lightfoot had police ban protests around her Logan Square residence, while the Windy City’s murder rate spirals out of control to no one’s surprise. Leftist calls to “defund the police” supersede their own protection from the mob.
